DIRECTEUR GENERAL (MADAGASCAR)
LFL is recruiting DIRECTEUR GENERAL (MADAGASCAR)Reporting to the Managing Director of LFL (with the support of the Group's Country Manager in Madagascar), the GM will ensure the general management of the company and represent it in its relations with third parties. The incumbent will be responsible for all the business units of LFL in Madagascar and will operate them in line with the guideline given by the Board of Directors to enhance value-creation. The job is based in Madagascar.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Adherence to & re-enforcement of the Credo and Values & to endeavour in the development of identified Talents
- Strategy Formulation & Deployment for all the units within Madagascar in line with the orientation given by the MD and Board of Directors
- Driving organizational change to draw Synergy between the different business units to ensure operational excellence at all levels
- Be responsible for meeting the financial objectives as set by the Board in terms of turnover, profitability, solvability, compliance, etc …
- Identification of opportunities and drive business development & expansion
- Be the champion of all projects aiming at operational excellence, innovation, risk reduction, etc … within budget and time frame
- Be directly responsible for the integrity & compliance of Systems & Control mechanisms
- Engage in Networking and Stakeholder Management, as well as ensuring that Corporate Affairs are being tackled with the necessary authorities and in the appropriate forum
Profile
- Degree in Management at master’s level (MBA, Master, Grande Ecole, etc…) or equivalent
- 15 years of post-graduation experience at a management level position with at least 5 years at a senior level (C-Suite)
- Past experience in managing in a cross-cultural environment is a must. Knowledge of the Malagasy culture and language will be an advantage
- Proven skills at Negotiation and Networking as well as in managing Corporate Affairs
- Past experience in driving organizational change at strategic level is necessary
- High degree of self-awareness, empathy and ethics is crucial for this role
- Previous expatriation experience is a must
- Fluency in French and English (spoken & written)
- Be a leader with excellent organizational skills; must be a good communicator with the ability to build alignment & relationships at all levels.
- Have a ‘Can Do’ attitude coupled with strong business acumen and entrepreneurial skills
