LFL has a long term commitment to the Mauritian deer sector. Originating form Java, the Mauritian rusa deer (Cervus timorensis russa) was brought by the Dutch in 1639 starting with about 20 animals. Deer farming in Mauritius nowadays represents 60,000 heads reared over the island in ‘chassées’. We have accompanied this success story over our 30 years of operation by constantly adapting our nutritional solutions to the growing needs of the industry. Apart from the common ruminant supplements range which suit deer nutrition, we have two dedicated products for boosting antlers growth to produce superb trophies. We can also offer tailor-made concentrates to adapt to the ingredients already available on farm.
